Buly was founded in 1803 by monsieur Jean-Vincent Bully on famous rue Saint-Honoré in Paris.

In a very romantic era with the Ancien Régime with it's splendour, beheadings and other turbulent notions in a clear and immediate past, this new era represented innovation, advance of science and great faith in the future: It also incorporated great knowledge from the old master-craftsmen from the previous time.
This resulted in great novelties and innovation came to the house of Buly (later dropping an L) with the Vinaigre de Bully. A patented aromatic lotion that were to clean and preserve the skin tone. Its reputation spread across Europe and brought fame to the house for more than 100 years.
“Today, l’Officine Universelle Buly, like Star Trek, wants to boldly go where no one has gone before and has a will to explore and become the trend setter it once was. Starting with the old recipes and traditions they use innovative techniques and develop wonderful products in their French laboratories. ”
The products vary from the classic perfumes, soaps and all kinds of lotions to include wonderful scented candles, toothpastes, scented (!) matches and various other things of beauty like combs and Japanese antique porcelain. We completely fell in love with the imagery and the personalized service which even offers you monogramed soap! How fabulous is that to offer your guests in your summer getaway in the Hamptons or your shared one bedroom flat in the outskirts of dodgy Berlin?
