This perfume, if any, is a true beauty legend! 4711 has been around for over 220 years making it the oldest still produced fragrance in the world. It’s named after the address where the cologne was developed and where the brand still keeps a beautiful flagship store. I’ve been using 4711 since my early 20s and for me it’s the perfect summer fragrance. It’s light and citrusy with initial notes of bergamot and lemon, later more heavy ones of neroli and at the end more earthy but yet always light. The first ever cologne was actually made by an Italian monk living in Cologne to remind him of early spring mornings in his home country.
